Stolen tombstone returned to Iranian embassy

An ancient tombstone stolen from a mosque in Iran and shipped to London for sale has been returned to the Iranian Embassy.
The 900-year-old tombstone, or funerary mihrab, is inscribed in Kufic and commemorates the death of Abdullah in 533AH (1138AD).
Scotland Yard's arts and antiques unit seized the stone from a London-based antiques dealer, who was trying to sell it for £100,000.
