Archaelogists have found about 3,000 artifacts, mostly tiles and potsherds, which are believed to be the traces of an ancient civilisation dating back as early as the 6th century, right in the heart of Ha Noi.
These artifacts were unearthed at a 1.4ha site near Hoang Dieu street resulting from site clearance for a new National Assembly building.
The search on the site lasting nearly a year, has found traces of a 62m-long and 27m-wide palace foundation, which archaeologists say is possibly more than 1,000 years old.
