It's said he commandeered a sacred temple for his palace foyer. That he made his horse a senator. And that his orgies were so spectacular they inspired an X-rated movie by Penthouse magazine. Historians have long doubted many of these outrageous claims. But now, a team of Stanford archaeologists say they've found the ruins of Caligula's palace -- and that it was, indeed, built around the sacred temple dedicated to the military gods Castor and Pollux.
