Ancient Egyptian priest compound discovered

Egyptian and German archaeologists have discovered a 2,000-year-old priest settlement in southern Egypt.
This was announced by the Supreme Council for Egyptian Antiquities. Buried in the desert sand in Tuna el-Gebel, some 200 kilometers (124 miles) south of Cairo, the elaborate dwellings belonged to the priests who worshipped the god Thoth in the form of ibis and baboons.
God of wisdom and magic, Thoth Hermes for the Greek was credited with many inventions, including writing, geometry, and astronomy.
