Schoolboy finds Viking ring

A sixth grader unearthed a ring during a class outing to Borre National Park, where children could try their hands at archeology.
The ring was likely part of a larger piece of woman's jewelry and probably over 1,000 years old.
Magnus Hempel Naess was on a field trip with Galleberg Elementary School from Sande when he made the exciting discovery at the Midgard Historical Center. Magnus was digging near the ship mound where the major Borre find was made.
